For UK visitors, The Online Group Pty Ltd is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
Website visitors
Like most website operators, we collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting this information is to better understand how visitors use our website and to keep it secure. From time to time we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, for example in a report on trends in the use of our website.
Our hosting provider also processes technical data such as your IP address when it delivers pages to you and protects the site against abuse (see “Services we use” below).
Personal information you give us
Some visitors choose to interact with us in ways that need personal information. The amount and type of information depends on the interaction:
- Email or phone: if you email or call us, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Booking a discovery call: if you book a call through our Calendly booking page, we receive the details you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number and any notes about your business.
- Working with us: if you become a client, we collect the information needed to provide and invoice our services.
We collect such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfil the purpose of your interaction with us. You can always refuse to supply personal information, with the caveat that it may prevent us from responding to you or providing a service.
We use this information to reply to enquiries, hold discovery calls, provide and improve our services, and keep business records. We will not rent or sell your personal information to anyone.
Services we use
This website is a static site. It has no user accounts, comments or online payments. We use the following third-party services, which process personal information on our behalf or as independent providers:
- Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.) hosts the website and protects it against attacks. Cloudflare processes technical request data such as IP addresses. Cloudflare privacy policy
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (Google) measure how the website is used. They only set analytics cookies if you click Accept in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Google privacy policy
- Calendly (Calendly LLC) provides the booking calendar on our Book a Discovery Call page and processes the details you enter when booking. Calendly privacy notice
- Google Workspace (Google) provides our email.
- Social media: we link to our LinkedIn, Facebook and X pages. These are plain links, not embedded widgets, and those networks’ own privacy policies apply once you visit them. We do not embed YouTube or other social media content on this website.
For more detail about cookies, see our Cookie Policy.
Aggregated statistics
We may collect statistics about the behaviour of visitors to our websites, and may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, we do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described in this policy.
Who we share information with
We disclose personal information only to our employees, contractors, affiliated organisations and service providers that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf or to provide our services, and (ii) have agreed not to disclose it to others. Other than that, we disclose personal information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of The Online Group, third parties or the public at large.
International transfers
The Online Group is based in Australia, and our team and service providers are located in Australia, the UK, the USA and elsewhere. Your information may therefore be transferred to, stored and processed in countries outside your own. Where we transfer personal data from the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses (including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum) offered by our providers.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to meet legal, accounting and reporting requirements, and then delete or anonymise it.
Security
We take all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorised access, use, alteration or destruction of personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however.
Cookies
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. On this website, analytics cookies are only used with your consent. See our Cookie Policy for the full details and how to change your choice.
Business transfers
If The Online Group, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that The Online Group goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, customer information would be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party. Any acquirer may continue to use your personal information as set out in this policy.
